Labasa
A call home for help with a science class experiment resulted in a surprise package for a Labasa student.
Epeli Vuabale of Qamea Island east of Taveuni received a snake from a family member back home after asking for a “unique organism” for his science class experiment.
It was something he did not expect. Epeli assured that the metre-long snake was tame and posed no harm.
Residents of James Madhavan Street in Labasa were caught by surprise when Epeli and classmate John Dyer turned up with a snake. A resident Ravin Singh said it was an experience he would never forget.
