The Fiji Police Force is investigating the alleged assault of a minor at the Valelevu Police Station earlier this month.
Fiji Police Force spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed they had received a complaint at the Police headquarters.
“We do have the reports as it was reported and it is under investigation,” Ms Naisoro said.
This was after the parents of Jovolisi Tovola, 16, lodged a complaint at the Police headquarters.
And it was just days after the suspension of the two Police officers who are believed to be involved in the alleged assault of a minor in Lautoka.
Mr Labati said his son was afraid to tell him what had happened at the station.
“He later told me that two officers allegedly beat him and they were called by the name ‘Gus’ and ‘Scribble’ while another officer by the name ‘Wainimala’ stood and watched.”
Mr Labati said his son was never taken to the hospital as they had promised.
